Jen's Sunshine Blog Hop & Flutterby Wednesday

Paper Makeup Stamps and Party Time Tuesdays Challenge Blog proudly present
"Jen's Sunshine" Blog Hop
This hop will remain open till Tuesday Sept.4th
Winners announced Sept. 7th

Today we take time to honor our friend and fellow crafter Jen Scull.  If you are here hopping with us, then we are sure you know Jen is battling breast cancer.  She has been fighting this nasty disease since February.  On behalf of Jen, we thank you for being here.

I used the fairy and one of the 3 sentiments from the Jen's Sunshine Digi Set for the outside of my card.  100% of the proceeds from the purchase of this set benefits Jen Scull and her family - you can read about it here.  I was inspired by this week's Sketch Saturday #222 and Carta Bella DP.

The challenge at Flutterby Wednesday this week is to also decorate the inside of your card.  Here I've used another one of the sentiments from Jen's Sunshine and more of that luscious Carta Bella DP.  {grin}  I also edged  the layers with a stardust glitter pen for some sparkle!

Be sure to scroll all the way down and check out the details on some prizes!  {wink}

We ask as you hop along with us, please consider donating at least $1 using the paypal donation button at any stop along the way.  Your donation will go directly to Jen. Thank you.

It wouldn't be a hop without prizes!

Flutterby Wednesday is celebrating friendship this week.

And we're excited to announce we have Saturated Canary as a sponsor.

On my card I have used the lovely Cerridwen.

Her dress, hair and butterflies all sparkle from my favorite clear spica glitter pen, but alas the camera has a hard time seeing that.

Thanks so much for fluttering by!

A Fluttery Blog Hop

Flutterby Wednesday is back with everyone's favorite, an OPEN Challenge - just remember to use a butterfly or fairy on your creation!  To celebrate we are kicking things off with a Blog Hop featuring the new design team.  You should have arrived here from the ever talented Kristie's blog.  If not start at the Flutterby Wednesday blog so you don't miss any of the fluttery goodness!

For my card I have used an image by Saturated Canary called Butterfly Princess.  My coloring skills don't do this gorgeous image anywhere near justice, but she's still beautiful.  I love coloring in monochromatic neutral tones and adding a splash of color.  I used warm gray copic markers and R08 for the red bits.  If you look closely, you can see the sparkle on her hair, the red accents and even on the butterflies in the designer paper that I added with a clear spica glitter pen.  {grin - I love sparkle!}

Time to see what treat you'll find on Tara's blog next!

Thanks for fluttering by!

Love is All

Paper Makeup Stamps just released 5 new Word Art digi stamps.  There's still time to go through the blog hop and leave comments for your chance to win a $10 gift certificate towards any digis in the PMS Store.  The winner will be announced on the PMS Blog on Friday.

Today the makeup artists are reviewing the new digi stamps - take a peek at the PMS Blog for more inspiration!

My review card features the new Word Art "Love is All You Need"  I immediately thought of A Couple of Moodies and how great this sentiment would look with them.  For all that sparkle, I ran my paper die-cut through my xyron to coat it with adhesive.  Then I just stuck the circle in the middle and covered the rest with glitter - easy-peasy!

Michelle {that's me!}

My card features the new Now and Then word art.  I thought it would be perfect to use with the fairy from Jen's Sunshine, the charitable digi set for Jen Scull that you can read all about here.

Keep Cool

This week is all about Keeping Cool at the Digi Makeover Challenge by Paper Makeup Stamps.  I decided to color up Moody for Snow in cool tones of blue and gray, plus I think she looks "cool" in her winter outfit and the snow falling around her must obviously be cool to the touch!  The saying is one of many from Little Moments.  I love how you can size a digi sentiment to be as big or as small as you want for your card.

Challenges Entered:
Just Inspirational - Snow Picture
Stampin' Sisters in Christ - Pastels
Crafty Ribbons Challenge - Spots & Dots
Dream Valley Challenges - Die Cuts & Punches

A Fairy for Friday

Party Time Tuesdays - #79 Anything Goes
Flutterby Wednesdays - Design Team Call
Scrapbook Sisters - #93 Things with Wings
Repeat Impressions - DCC81 Black, White +1 color
Cute Card Thursday - #228 Clean and Simple
Charisma Cardz Challenges - #30 Pink +1 color

Isn't this fairy a cutie-patootie?  She's from The Digi Garden and called On a Wing and a Prayer 001.  Her wings sparkle because of silver glitter liner from Viva Decor and that fab ribbon and blingy button are from Creating is Fun.  THEN that perfect sentiment that she's sitting on is from Paper Makeup Stamps.  I colored a few of the words pink in Paint.net before printing.

Have you seen and heard that my friend Danni is bringing back Flutterby Wednesdays?!  I am just giddy with joy, let me tell you!  I have so missed my weekly fix of butterflies and fairies, haven't you?  If you are interested in her DT Call - check it out here.

Thanks so much for fluttering by today!
